In the previous lesson, we studied nouns, pronouns and adjectives. With the help of which we learned to make sentences, and you did that practice with the children. In this lesson you will learn to make sentences using 2 more parts of speech out of eight. That means our total will be 5 parts of speech. In simple words, know that all the things we do in the world have merits and demerits. Like the merits and demerits of a name. Some things are done very quietly, some things are done with anger. These phrases can be done in the way given below.

Examples

I did that job excellently.
Excellently, I did that job.
I excellently did that job.

That is, the adverb ‘Shandar’ can have many places, they can also be called placement in English. You can put it at the beginning, or in the middle or at the end, but it will be related to the action, that is, the work. One more thing to know in this regard is that we can change the noun-adjective into an adverb with a little change. Pick a pair and make two sentences.

Examples for Practice

Brave- Bravely, Nice- Nicely, Happy- Happily, Great- Greatly, Quick- Quickly, Amazing- Amazingly, Hard- Hardly, Silent-Silently, Wonderful- Wonderfully, Slow- Slowly, Strong-Strongly

She is a nice girl. (adjective explains the noun ‘girl’)
She talks nicely. (verb explains the action ‘talk’.)

Hard vs Hardly

Hard is an adjective while, hardly is an adverb. The adjective ‘hard’ explains
nouns. For example, the chair is hard. But, the adverb ‘hardly’ explains about
the actions. For instance, I hardly sit on this chair. Here, the action ‘sit’ is linked

with ‘hardly’. I would like to share some more examples that are used in daily conversation.
