May is used to take permission or show possibility. If we are not sure about future happenings, we can use ‘may’ to describe our actions. Here are some examples:
I may invite my friends on party.
I may call her.
I may bring something for you.
I may look into the matter.
I may visit my uncle.
We also use it to ask for permission.
