A and An

The names with the voices that start from a, e, i, o, u ā€“ will contain AN before them. 

For example, an apple, an umbrella, an honest, an American, an intelligent boy, an interesting-book etc. While, rest of the voices will contain A before them. 

For example, a cat, a bat, a book, a chair, a dog etc. Now, write a list of nouns randomly and, ask – – the kid to put -a or -an before. 

For example,

The

The is used before those nouns which are repeated second time in a sentence. Or a particular name which is common in the minds of speaker and listener. For instance, Open the book. Here, both the speakers and listener know about the book which is being talked about. Look at this example, ā€˜I bought a book, the book was very interesting. Here, Iā€™m talking about a book which became particular after the purchase. Otherwise, it was a common book.
